FAQ

"How do I prepare my hair for the Trial/Wedding day?"

The preparation of the hair is very important if you have hair extensions you can can use these same steps to prepare those as well.

You will need to shampoo your hair the night before with a non-silicon based shampoo.

Shampoo your hair twice and then only add conditioner to the ends of the hair.

Blow dry the hair as smooth as possible (please do NOT use a straightener) and avoid using any products as this can make the hair heavy and hard to hold into place.

On the day wear a button up shirt or a silk/satin robe that way you can easily get your formal attire on without disturbing the hair style.

"What to bring to the trial"

Coming prepared will make the trial run smoothly. Please have handy a photo of your and your bridesmaids dresses, hair inspiration photos and anything else you maybe wearing in your hair like hair pieces and accessories and hair extensions. you can bring your veil but it is not essential as I have a long and short veil we can try with. if we need to measure your veil for length you may wish to bring it with you.

"How do I wash out my hairstyle?"

It is very important that you read the following instructions to wash out your hair style.

1. Remove all pins, padding, clip-in extensions and hair ties from your hair. (You may need someone to help you take out your hair depending on your style)

2. Brush your hair with a paddle brush to break up the product in your hair and remove any teasing that may have been used in your style. Be sure to start at the ends and work your way up to the roots. (If you are finding it hard spray some shine spray oil in your hair to help)

3. Once you have completely brushed out your hair you can then shampoo your hair. You may need to do 3 shampoos to remove all of the product (a deep cleansing shampoo can also help). If you can still feel product in your hair then do another shampoo.

4. After rinsing out your 3rd shampoo apply conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends. Leave for 3 mins and comb your hair with a wide tooth comb before and after rinsing the conditioner.

Usually i allow 45 mins - 1 Hour per person depending on the style, length and thickness of the hair. We will discuss this throughout the trial. As for the timings on the day I will send you a scheduled a couple of weeks before the wedding. If I'm working with Brittany Rose Makeup or any of my other preferred suppliers from The Wedding Local then I will liaise with them and organise timing.
